• ‘Stražilovo’ Mountain Lodge – Krušedol – Velika Remeta – ‘Stražilovo’ Mountain Lodge •

• From the mountain lodge, you descend through the forest along a footpath marked with a marathon sign (a white circle with a red heart) down to the road that leads through the Stražilovo valley (10 min).
• Getting off the forest walk, turn left to Brankov čardak Restaurant (10 min).
• In front of the restaurant to the left there is a stream. Cross the bridge and walk along the path uphill (10 min).
• The trail is marked with blue and white blazes.
  Getting onto the ridge you will find a dirt road. Here you turn right and continue along the road (20 min) until it exits to the asphalt ridge road.
• At this point you turn left on the asphalt road after about 100 m, and then turn right onto a gravel road that takes you through a community of cottages to the village of Velika Remeta (15 min).
• After 50 m, turn left on the asphalt road, and then right on the dirt road that leads you past cottages to a spring (20 min). The spring is walled up and resembles a small chapel. Here you can rest and refill your water supplies.
• Continue further to the left from the spring along the stream valley, between the cottages to the exit to the asphalt road (60 min).
• Here you will turn right uphill on the asphalt road for a walk of about 500 m, and on the right-hand side there is a military facility. Further on, on the left, there is a spacious parking lot and the Monastery of Krušedol (10 min).
• After visiting the monastery, return to the military facility and take the dirt road on the left, so that the fence is to your right. The road is slightly ascending, passing by the fence of the barracks, and then leading through the fields and cottages all the way to the edge of the forest, arriving eventually at the crossroads for Grgeteg village (60 min).
• Here you will turn right and descend to the Monastery of Velika Remeta (10 min). After visiting the monastery, take the opportunity to stroll around the beautifully decorated grounds with water cascades. Honey and wine produced locally by the residents of the monastery are available for purchase. To the right, there are interesting wooden huts that are worth seeing.
• From the Monastery, take the asphalt road downhill for about 500 m to Šumski Raj Restaurant, where refreshments and meals are available (10 min).
• From there, the asphalt road takes you about 200 m further, where you head left uphill through a community of cottages to exit to the asphalt ridge road (20 min).
• You turn left on the asphalt road after about 100 m, and then again to the right on the dirt road past cottages, orchards and fields over the Kurjakovac ridge. The path gently descends to the edge of the forest where you should take notice of the signpost that directs you left onto a narrow hiking trail (40 min).
• Descend steeply through the forest to the Stražilovo picnic area, and arrive at Brankov čardak Restaurant (15 min).
• After crossing the stream, continue straight along the forest track through the valley for about 1,000 m to reach a large signpost directing you to the Lodge (10 min).
• Here you turn right, uphill along the hiking trail to the ‘Stražilovo’ Mountain Lodge (10 min).

The trail is marked with trail markers and signposts. The time required to cover the trail is 4.5 – 5 hours of walking at a leisurely pace.
